Guided Walks
Richard Duckworth, one of your hosts here at The Green Cumbria, is a Qualified Mountain Leader. He has a huge passion for walking in the hills and mountains of Britain and has walked several thousand miles on foot in every UK National Park. He knows the upland areas of Northern England like the back of his hand and enjoys nothing more than taking guests out on guided hillwalking days and teaching them new outdoor skills.
Situated in Cumbria’s Eden Valley but within the Yorkshire Dales National Park the countryside around us here at The Green Cumbria is a paradise for walkers. Classic Dales scenery and the Lake District are both a short drive away but the Eden area itself offers great walking; especially the grassy slopes of the Howgill Fells which can be accessed on foot from the front door.
Why not join Richard for a guided day in the hills? Equipment including waterproof clothing and maps can be provided.
There are some ideas below for walks and courses which Richard can offer he can also tailor a day to suit your preferences and exact. requirements. His rate is £185 for a full day for up to 6 people.
Please contact him on 07900 556910 to discuss your day or check availability. Please note that he normally needs at least a month's notice.
